How the College is governed

The Corporation of Greenwich Community College (also known as the governing body) was established under the Further and Higher Education Act 1992. The Corporation comprises 16 members and is responsible for the strategic oversight and direction of the College. The Corporation is responsible for the appointment of the Principal and Chief Executive who is reponsible for the organisation, direction and management of the institution and its staff.

The Corporation meets at least once a term and minutes of its proceedings are posted on the College website, as are the Agenda for the forthcoming meeting. The Corporation is assisted in its work by a number of committees and minutes of their proceedings are also be posted on the website. The Agenda for forthcoming sub-committee meetings are also published. Excluded from the minutes are any confidential matters.
