Accessibility & Appearance Options

GCC is committed to offering access to all and the website is no exception. This latest design has been tested to work in all modern browsers and degrade (i.e. to still be readable and viewable) in older browsers. Information is below on accesskeys and also ways in which you can change the apperance of the site.

Access-keys

The following access-keys have been set up for the site

• s = skip content
• 1 = Homepage
• 2 = News & Events
• 3 = Sitemap
• 4 = Search
• 5 = Help / Frequently Asked Questions
• 0 = Access key details (this page)

The access keys above are standard across a variety of sites. We have also setup some access keys which are specific to this site:

• M = skip main navigation
• L = skip to sub navigation
• a = about gcc page
• f = full time courses page
• p = part time qualification & Learndirect courses page
• e = employers pages
• i = international students page
• g = general interest courses

Changing the Style

You are able to change the style of the site at any point by coming to this page or alternatively using the links which appear at the bottom of the page.

You are also able to increase the font size for all of the styles we offer.

Text Only Version

• Text only default size

High Visibility Version

The high visibility option version of the site has a black background with yellow text

• Hi-Vis default size

• Hi-Vis x-large text

Reduced Glare Version

The reduced glare version replaces the white background with a cream-brown background
