What does the course include?

GCSE mathematics is a modular course. The modules are as follows:

  • Money & Number
  • Statistics & Probability
  • Algebra and Geometry

This syllabus has been written to meet the needs of the post-16 student. It is also suitable for adults who are returning to education after a break, possibly of many years.

What do I need to get on this course?

A grade D in GCSE maths – or you can do our online diagnostic test at enrolment. Our criteria for adults on evening courses are fairly flexible, so do talk to one of our maths staff about your circumstances.

How will I be assessed?

Assessment is by examination.

Where does it lead?

Students can progress to higher level qualification courses, such as A Level Maths.
