What does the course include?
This short course provides a stimulating and exciting taster to counselling training. It will introduce students to basic counselling skills.
This short course is offered at the Eltham or Plumstead Centres.
What do I need to get on this course?
No formal qualifications are necessary, but you will be interviewed.
How will I be assessed?
You will study the following units: listening and responding skills, establishing boundaries for helping work, communicating empathic understanding and understanding the importance of self-awareness. You will be assessed on your coursework and observation of skills practice.
Where does it lead?
This course will equip you to use basic counselling skills in the workplace and offers progression to the ‘Level 2 Cert in Counselling Skills’.
