What do I need to get on this course?
Generally you need at least a grade D already, but for the ‘Year 1’ classes it is an E. You can alternatively do a diagnostic test to check that this is the right level of course for you.
There is some scope for moving between the different levels if you are doing particularly well.
How will I be assessed?
You will be assessed through external examination. There are three modules, one of which is done without a calculator.
Where does it lead?
You can progress to higher level qualification courses, such as A Level Maths.
