What does the course include?
This is a double GCSE worth two GCSEs in Science. Students complete both of these with Core in the first half of the year and Additional in the second.
What do I need to get on this course?
Candidates will normally have passed a pre-GCSE in Science or if retaking, passed Science to at least a grade E.
You may also be required to take some assessment tests to gauge your suitability for this course.
How will I be assessed?
The Core science is assessed by multiple choice tests and Internally Assessed Assignments based around practical work in the lab. The Additional Science has these elements but also includes a written examination.
Where does it lead?
You can progress on to level 3 courses in Science, Engineering or Technology.
