The majority of our courses offer nationally accredited qualifications. These include:
A Level (Advanced level)
A levels are a higher level general academic qualification awarded for successfully completing an AS and A2 level in the same subject. A levels take two years of full-time study.
AS Level (Advanced Subsidiary)
An AS level is the first half of an A level course. It is also a qualification in its own right. Students are encouraged to take three or four subjects at AS level.
A2 Level
An A2 level is the second half of an A level course. If the relevant grades are obtained in the AS levels, you can progress onto an A2 level course and specialise in two or three subjects.
GCSE (General Certificate of Education)
These qualifications provide a route into AS/A2 levels, BTEC National Diploma or AVCE (GNVQ Advanced) courses.
BTEC Introductory Diploma
This is a one year full-time course specialising in a particular skill or vocational area. It is suitable if you need a first step towards gaining a vocational qualification.
BTEC First Diploma

BTEC National Diploma

Access Courses
Access courses are for people who are interested in undertaking a degree course at University or want to undertake intensive study in a particular area. On successful completion they provide direct access to University courses for people who previously did not have the necessary qualifications.
Foundation Degrees
Foundation degrees provide an opportunity for students to undertake a graduate level course which is equivalent to the first and second year of a Bachelor of Arts (B.A) or Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) first degree course.
City & Guilds Courses
These are job-based qualifications which are specifically designed to improve the work skills of employees. They are particularly suitable if you need specific job-related qualifications for a particular industry, or are already in employment and need to gain further skills or qualifications.
Professional Qualifications
These provide practical and work-related skills and an opportunity to gain nationally recognised qualifications. We provide courses for AAT (Association of Accounting Technicians) and a range of National Vocational Qualifications.
