Student activities
The College provides an exciting and varied enrichment programme for all 16-19 year olds at the College, including a recreation and sports programme and a range of activities to encourage young people into Higher Education as part of our ‘Aspire’ programme.
Student union and student council
The College has an active and lively Student Union. We encourage you to join as it provides you with the opportunity to influence how the College is run. All courses have an elected course representative who can then attend the College Student Council on behalf of all the students in their class. We also have student representatives on the College Corporation and Academic Board.
Student attendance and punctuality
At Greenwich Community College we set very high standards for all our staff and students. We expect all our students to attend all their classes on time and to complete the work set. The College does not tolerate unacceptable behaviour and deals with it firmly and promptly – the Disciplinary Procedure will be explained during your induction.
Prayer rooms
The College provides a quiet reflection room for students during the lunch break. This facility is for students of all faiths. We also provide Wudu facilities for Muslim students to wash their feet before prayers.
