Student Stories
Below is an example of feedback we have recently received from our language students:
“On my recent trip to Italy, I was confident talking to people and enjoying life!”
“I made friends and we have started our own film club”
“The GCC language courses provide camaraderie, self confidence and life enrichment”
Family Learning
We run language courses for children aged between 7 and 14 in the following languages:
We also run family learning classes in schools and children centres. Our courses support parents, grandparents, carers and other family members to be an active part of their children’s learning, as well as becoming learners themselves. They give them the opportunity to find out how things are taught in their own child’s school, as well as a chance to share ideas with other parents and develop their own skills.
“This helps to raise aspirations and create a long-term change in the culture of the family and patterns of learning. The combination of adults and children learning is crucial in building resilience in families, in creating community well-being, economic prosperity and social cohesion.”
