• Students Raise Money for Children in Need15th November 2011Our Level 1 Childcare students, took part in an activity for their Monetary Unit in Employability. The unit is Introduction to Working with Others, so the students decided and created different activities to raise money for Children in Need.
• Government Changes to Fees for Adults on Benefits7th September 2011After lobbying from colleges across the country, including Greenwich Community College, the government has changed its funding policy for adults on qualification courses.
  
  This means that some qualification courses which we were previously charging a fee for are now free to adults on a range of benefits.
• Join Us at The Tudor Barn Festival11th May 2011The Tudor Barn Creative Arts Festival will run from 24th to 26th June 2011. The Festival aims to celebrate and promote the growth of creative talent in South East London.

• £480 Raised for British Heart Foundation23rd November 2010As you may remember on Sunday 20th June I took part in the London to Brighton bike ride in aid of the British Heart Foundation.
• 2010 Freshers Fair30th September 2010New students at Greenwich Community College attended the annual Freshers' Fair last Wednesday. It was an opportunity for new students to gather information about internal and external support and activities whilst studying at the college.
• Summer Road Show 20109th September 2010Free Pocket Guides to Enrolment were handed to the general public informing them about key information about enrolment.
• World Cup Soccer Six9th July 2010The World Cup Soccer Six tournament kicked off in the afternoon of the 25th June where GCC, Lewisham College, New Vic (Newham Sixth Form College), Vinvolved, Christ the King Sixth Form College and Greenwich Community Games played friendly matches against each other.

• Black History Month @ GCC5th November 2009The Student Union arranged a fun filled pack of activities to mark Black History Month in October where students and staff took part in discussions and workshops.
• Clarissa wins a Wii @ GCC!30th October 2009Over the summer we ran a competition to win a Wii at GCC as part of the Passport To Your Future promotion.
• Rav Awarded Shining Silver for Excellent Voice26th August 2009Greenwich Community College was delighted to be in the finals for the LSIS Award for Student Liaison Officer of the Year. Our very own Rav Dhillon came second receiving ‘silver’ from Dame Dr. Ruth Silver.
• A Levels Results day comes but once a year...21st August 2009Another fantastic year at GCC as A Level results delivered. Out of those who sat A Level exams at Greenwich Community College 100% passed in many subjects. 342 started on this journey last year taking the overall achievement rate up by 1.4%. Aasim Mirza, was one of those.
• Uganda July 200922nd July 2009London Leisure College students, Kent Ridgeon and Katie-Marie Hardaker were selected to travel with the Tag Rugby Development Trust to Uganda.
• Past, Present & Future - Obama Talk17th April 2009Students flocked into a packed talk on Friday 20 March to hear about Obama’s First 100 Days in Office. Mark Lanning, the Assistant Cultural Attaché from the U.S Embassy in London had responded to a request from Politics student Nikki Raza.

• Ellika makes the final 10!27th January 2009GCC Student Ellie Prabhaker has made an amazing achievement and ploughed through thousands to reach the final 10 in a vocal competition being run by Motorola.
