Award Ceremony is Highlight of Year

The Annual Student Awards Ceremony is always the highlight of the year as students efforts are recognised in front of friends and family.

Over 35 students attended this years event which was held at the Plumstead Centre on Wednesday 24 October. We are lucky to have great sponsors who support the event each year including Charlton Athletic, Barclays and The Univeristy of Greenwich.

This year the Award winners had the choice of vouchers or tickets to The 02. By the reaction on most of their faces when they opened their envelope I think most will opt to see Kanye or 50 Cent!

As we organise the event their are always the last minute nerves and crossing of fingers hoping that no one trips up on stage! but luckily everything went smoothly.

Once the ceremony is over we make sure that all the winners have had their picture taken and have had plenty of food from the fantastic buffet supplied by 42nd Street.

We then write a press release and select which pictures we will use on the website before sending them all off to the local media. As one of the sponsors in the News Shopper we will hopefully receive coverage in next weeks edition.
