Losing part or all of your hearing can lead at times to feelings of frustration and isolation. Practising and developing your lip-reading skills in a friendly class can help you to communicate and to feel more secure and confident. Lip-reading classes will not help you to eavesdrop on conversations taking place around you, because it is all about two-way communication, but it will help you with some basic communication strategies and information about relevant equipment and organisations that might help you. You also meet and enjoy the support of others in a similar situation.
