The first table tennis tournament for this academic year took place in the Student Lounge on 14 November 2011.
16 students took part in games that begun at 10:30 a.m. and went on for five hours. The best four competed hard in the finals motivated not only by the chance to become the best but also by the amazing prizes! Julius Ogundana who came third has won an NUS card, Emmanuel Mensah has received a table tennis bat and finally excellent player Dale Campbell who came first has been awarded with an iPod shuffle. Their effort has certainly paid off. Trevor Dean, Student Support Officer, organiser of the tournament said ‘the games will reoccur every second month and every student is welcome to join.
