On the 22nd June, some of the teachers in the English Department put on a very successful event for part of the National Learning Disability Week.
The event was held at the Citizens’ Gallery in Woolwich and
evolved around a variety of different communication workshops incorporating a wide range of innovative activities.
Those who attended the event included current students,
industry professionals and members of the general public, many of whom commended the work that was being done and how valuable it was.
Daniel Marchant, one of the teachers at the event, commented: ‘this event really was enjoyable to run and it really feels like the good work that is being done in this area is having a great effect on the local community.’
