GCC Champion Zoe Smith, broke a British weightlifting record on her way to a creditable 12th place in the 58kg class at her first Olympics.
Zoe lifted a total of 211kg in front of a crowd of 6,000 at the Excel centre on Monday 30 July.
She was delighted with her performance and has now set her sights on Rio in 2016;
“It seems a long way off but I’ll have a lot more experience after the next four years and I do think I’m going to be able to bring a medal home, come 2016.”
